The Fourth of July is quickly approaching and I would love to host a party in my backyard for the festivities. For the past few months we have been sprucing up our yard, from weeding and planting, to painting and adding decorations. It really needed a makeover, and one of the main issues we had when hosting get-together’s was the lack of seating.

The swing arrived in a large box with all the pieces you need to put it together. Looks like a lot of pieces, and it is, but it wasn’t that difficult to put together at all. My husband and step-daughter put it together in about an hour. Just an FYI, the directions are pictures of how you put the pieces together, not written word.
Once the frame was put together, we added the swing. The seats are weather-proof, which is great because you don’t want to have to worry about mold or mildew. You can easily fit three people, or four children on the swing, and no worries about it collapsing, it holds up to 450 pounds!
Of course once the swing was put together the family had to check it out. Well, the furry family members first. Mystique our dog and Cheeto our cat tried it out and loved it. I can totally see us hanging out on the swing with the pets and enjoying the evening. It helps that we can adjust the canopy so the sun is beating down on us, not good for people or for pets so this is a great feature.
My son and his friend were playing soccer in the yard and were more than happy to try out the swing during half-time. Since we put up the swing, my youngest has been spending a lot of time in the yard just hanging out on the swing with his friends or reading by himself.
This set is not only perfect for our yard and family get-together’s, it is also very comfortable. I wasn’t sure how it would feel, but ‘8once I sat in it I didn’t want to get up. The seat doesn’t cut you in the back of the knees like some do, and for me, being about 5’8″, it is the perfect height for me to push off on the ground to make it swing.
I am looking forward to the Fourth of July now, I can’t wait to show it off to my friends and family. We are lucky enough to see fireworks from our backyard, so I can’t wait to relax on the swing with a glass of wine and watch the fireworks.
