If you are on the East coast then you know what I am talking about in the title, we have had more snow this season then we have had in a long time. Another Marylander reminded me that we had a big storm back in 2003 but for some reason I can’t remember that one. I blame it on pregnancy induced insanity since I was pregnant with my youngest when it hit.
I remember one back in the 90’s that was pretty huge, so big that I couldn’t open my backdoor to let the dogs out, and then there was the storm of the 70’s, maybe 76′ or 77′ where we had tunnels going to the corner store.
Snow was so magical then and honestly, it still is. The quiet of the snow and how the entire world just shuts down is just peaceful to me. I know the aftermath is a headache, but during the snowfall, it is absolutely beautiful.
So we are under another winter storm warning (it’s actually snowing right now) and again the world has gone quiet. I do suspect there is a quiet undercurrent of people cursing somewhere but for me I’ll just imagine peace and quiet.
