I love stuffed animals, even at the age of almost 45 I will go a little crazy over a super cute stuffed animal when I see one. Since I was a child my room was always full of stuffed animals and one very special teddy bear.
My teddy bear was given to me when I was born by an Aunt who gave all of the children born into the family a new bear. I still have my “bear” of which I never named, it was simply just “bear.” I still have him and he and he still means the world to me. This is how much a stuffed animal can mean to a person, it becomes a part of your life forever.
I was super happy to review Bears for Humanity, a company run by Renju Prathap and her husband Vijay. They believe that making teddy bears that are made by 100% certified organic cotton/hemp so they are safer and healthier for our children and also sustainable. The bears are naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial, perfect for children who may have allergies to other synthetic stuffed animals.
“Can a teddy bear change the world?”
When you purchase a Bears For Humanity teddy bear they will l donate a special equivalent bear to a child in need. They have partnered with reputable charitable organizations to help put their teddy bears in the hands of those who need them the most. It will be personally delivered to a needy veterans house, a children’s hospital or underprivileged household.
Plus, each bear is assembled in Northern California. Bears For Humanity has pPartnered with CalWorks, we are able to provide jobs to at-risk mothers, fathers, and caregivers.
I chose a premium bear blue bear named Sweetie. The bear is unlike any other stuffed animal I have ever felt before. It is soft and has poseable arms and legs. The bear is solid and very well-made. You can definitely see and feel the quality of this bear.
“We are not just building certified organic teddy bears,” the toy maker/humanitarian says with a smile, “we are building lives, one teddy bear at a time.“ ~ Renju Prathap
You can purchase Bears For Humanity bears on their website and on Amazon.

This is an incredible company! So thankful to learn about them today. As we are preparing for our first baby, we are working hard to make sure that everything is organic when at all possible. The giving back is a HUGE bonus… Nothing makes me happier than hearing about under-privileged kids getting help and comfort. I just added Chummie, the brown and tan baby bear to my registry! We are waiting to hear the sex of our baby, so the neutral color is perfect! 🙂
