John Paul Pet – pet care with a salon pedigree.
30 years ago John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems, revolutionized the professional salon industry by banning animal testing for his line of hair products. John Paul’s in-depth expertise in hair and skin care formulations also led to research in new standards for pet grooming and hygiene, which lead to the creation of John Paul Pet shampoos, conditioners, sprays and pet wipes. John Paul Pet shampoos and conditioners are pH balanced so they don’t irritate sensitive pet skin and the entire line is “tested on humans first” to ensure effectiveness and safety for all pets.
John Paul Pet actively supports programs benefiting all animals, including Best Friends Animal Society, The Morris Animal Foundation, PAWS, The California Wildlife Association, The Humane Society of the United States, as well as numerous Humane Society of America and SPCA events, pet rescue organizations and pet charities nationwide.
I was sent the John Paul Pet Care 3-Pack to try. I have a 7-year-old Husky/Border Collie mix named Mystique and she has developed a love of digging in my garden lately, and has allergies. Because of this she gets a lot of baths and has to have shampoo that is for sensitive skin.
The John Paul Pet Care 3-Pack is great, it contains all the basic essentials for the care and maintenance of your pet’s coat. John Paul Pet Oatmeal Shampoo deep cleans, moisturizes, and deodorizes pet coats, while soothing the skin. Oatmeal Conditioning Spray helps tame matted coats and restores manageability shine. The easy-to-use hygenic Ear & Eye Wipes help combat build-up and odor around sensitive pet ears and eyes.
My number one issue with most pet shampoo is the fact that she still smells “doggie” after the bath. I used the John Paul Pet Oatmeal Shampoo and it seemed to get rid of that odor. Of course it doesn’t help her in being scared of the bathtub, but once she got in she is usually fine. Her favorite part is definitely the drying off.
I found the shampoo provided not only a nice scent but it lathered up nicely and cleaned like no other, the dirty water was definitely proof of the dirt coming off.
After her bath, we used the Ear & Eye Wipes, her allergies have caused tearing in one eye, so these were perfect to clean it off. I love that they are large wipes and don’t have a strong odor. The ear wipes worked really well too, again, with her having allergies, her ears need to be wiped out daily, and the wipes are large enough to really get in there and clean them out.
Last but not least, once she dried we used the Oatmeal Conditioning Spray throughout her coat and even on her tummy. The scent is light and it absorbs quickly.
After using all of the products in the John Paul Pet 3-pack, I really liked the results. She smelled great, her fur was super soft, shiny and fluffy! I also noticed that she wasn’t scratching as much as she was before.
