How To Have The Perfect Time at The Movie Theater

Going to the movies is an experience unlike any other.  It’s something that so many people missed during the height of the pandemic. Fortunately, all over the world, movie theaters are opening back up. Movie theaters offer a great escape reality for a couple of hours and get lost in an entirely different world.

Movies are also important because they allow people to learn about different cultures, social issues, and perspectives. It’s very important to have a lovely time when you’re at the theaters and these are some great ways to achieve just that!

Buy your ticket in advance

It helps to buy your movie tickets in advance, this helps you out in planning accordingly. You’ll know exactly what movie you’re wanting to see, but you won’t have to worry about any delays (such as technical malfunctions at the cash register). Plus, if you book your tickets in advance this also means you don’t have to arrive at the theater so early either.  So if you’re wanting to have the perfect time at the movies, just make sure you plan ahead.

 Snack happily

Before you get to enjoy the Death on the Nile trailer or your movie for that matter,  you should get some snacks!  Movies are always better when a snack is involved. You can get the traditional hotdog or go up a notch with something like a hotdog or pretzel instead.

While you could try and sneak in some snacks into the theater ( who hasn’t been guilty of that?) it may be better to support your local movie theater and buy snacks as cinemas were hit hard during the pandemic.

 Arrive early

While you may not want to arrive 30 minutes early, you should try to arrive early. This is going to give you the chance to get your snacks, but this will also help you out with increasing the chance of getting a good seat. Most people will try to get the very back and center as these seats have the best view of the screen. Even if this isn’t your ideal spot, you should still try to come into the theater early anyways so you can pick your favorite seat.

Dress comfortably

You don’t have to dress nicely when you’re at a theater, but you should dress in something that will make you look good, feel good, and overall be comfortable. This can include keeping in your barbell piercing,  wearing loose clothes, or maybe packing a sweater in case the theater is a bit chilly. In general, if you’re going to be physically uncomfortable, it’s only going to increase the chances of having a bad time.

Turn off your phone

This is a very common rule that everyone knows. The screen at theaters will usually announce this as well just before movie trailers begin. Plus, this is something that everyone hates to see while they’re watching a movie.

You’re better off turning off your phone, as it’s totally okay to shut off from the world for a couple of hours. But if you’re absolutely needing to have your phone on, then make sure it’s on the lowest brightness setting and it’s on silent.
