Gluten-Free Dining Options at HersheyPark #HersheyParkHappy #SweetestMoms #GlutenFree

Having food allergies can make dining out a challenge especially dining out at an amusement park. Last year when I went to HersheyPark as part of the Sweetest Moms welcome, I was greeted very warmly by everyone I met in regards to my needing gluten-free options (I have Celiac). Everywhere I went from Hershey Lodge, to the stadium, to the park itself,  had something for me to choose from and not just one or two items, but many.

I was given a few sweet treats by Brandon during my visit to the park and was flabbergasted at his kindness of going above and beyond to get these for me. He wanted to show me just a few of the treats that the park had to offer and they were amazing!

Earlier tonight we were treated to a lovely meal and the very kind gentleman serving us went above and beyond to bring me gluten free treats since I couldn’t have the desserts! That meant the world to me, so kind! Thank you, I didn’t get your name ..BRANDON.. but I appreciate you!! If you are planning a trip to HersheyPark you now have more options than ever. The allergen-friendly restaurant, The Outpost located in the Pioneer Frontier section of the park, has you covered and not just if you are gluten-free, they also offer a full menu that is nut-free, and fish and shellfish-free.

The Outpost menu includes the following items: 

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

Cheese Pizza

Chicken Tenders

Grilled Veggie Wrap

Salads

Sesame-Free Hummus

Gluten-free items can be found all over the park, not just at The Outpost. Check out the following list of what is offered and where to find them. I ate at the Overlook Food Court and was happy to find a dedicated area for gluten-free products that included Hamburger and Hot Dog buns, Chicken Tenders, French Fries, Pizza and various snacks. The preparation area was separate from the other food prep areas and I could see how it was being prepared. I could see that no cross-contamination was taking place, this is crucial to being gluten-free.
