Have you ever attended a conference in person? If you have, then you know that it can be a full day of running to and from vendors, carrying swag, taking photos, chatting, and just trying to do all the things. You end up most times feeling completely exhausted.

Sweet Suite, a toy convention,  has been around for several years and brings together toy manufacturers, press, content creators, and influencers for the biggest night of play. I attended my first one back in 2013 and loved every minute of it and was lucky enough to attend a few more over the years.

This year, as you know, the virus has changed the way we do lots of things, and Sweet Suite was no different. They decided to host the convention virtually with Sweet Suite at Home! I personally loved this idea since I wasn’t able to travel to New York every year to attend. I do have to admit that I was very curious about how this was going to happen, but I had faith in the hosts to bring us an amazing and unprecedented event.

On the day of the event I logged in and it was time to learn how to maneuver through the brand booths.  You could click where you wanted to go, or use several navigation buttons like the Quick Nav, Floor Plan or search by Sponsor list. You could also just click around to explore. The awesome people at The Toy Insider made sure that we had all the information we needed before logging in so we could be as ready as we could be in attending this amazing event.

I love how it looked just like a real convention floor! See those circles? All you had to do was click on them and you were instantly visiting a brand!

Once you are in a booth you had several options from learning more about the toys, attending a Zoom presentation, chatting, entering contests, getting written information, and visiting the brand’s social media accounts. You could also leave your information so the brand could contact you, much like a virtual business card. I really loved the Zoom presentations, it was nice being able to see the toys in action, just like you would if you were there in person. You could make one on one appointments, but I didn’t opt-in for that, I found it easier to visit booths at my own pace but you could do it any way that makes you feel most comfortable.

I really LOVED this virtual event, the Toy Insider put so much time and effort into this and it was spectacular!! I learned about so many amazing toys and I can’t wait to share them all with you. I will be posting all month, so stay tuned!
