Product Review | Hotel Transylvania 3DS Game

In this household, we love spooky movies, TV shows and video games, so it was just natural for us to get the Hotel Transylvania 3DS game for review. The reviewer, not me, simply because I still haven’t gotten the handle of the controls of the 3DS, give me a good old-fashioned joystick and I will kick some booty though. 😉

Hotel Transylvania 3DS Game Review

Hotel Transylvania, where monsters and their families can live it up, free to be the monsters that they are with no humans around to bother them. Dracula’s beloved daughter Mavis is turning 118 and Dracula has invited a few of his closest friends: Frankenstein and his wife, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, and the Werewolf family to Hotel Transylvania to celebrate her special day. Catering to these monsters is a delight for Dracula, but everything could change for the overprotective father when one ordinary guy stumbles through the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis.

Nik’s Thoughts on Hotel Transylvania 3DS: (Nik is 9 years old) – and I quote “It is EPIC!” I think out of the whole game, the only thing that he didn’t like was the fact that he had to play as a girl – Mavis to be exact.  If you could switch to the main characters, that would make the game a little more interesting for both girls and boys.

The game itself involves secret rooms and “1400 Hidden Gems.” Nik  has found a few rooms so far and is looking forward to finding them all.  He has also gained the power up Trance Stare, where he can freeze people in the game and wants to get the Electric Bolts power-up next. One thing that Nik said this game reminded him of Mario in that you get the power-ups and have to jump on the bad guys heads.

He also said that he loves the graphics – I think they look great, especially in 3D. Check them out below:
