I am once again headed back to LA with Disney! This time I will be walking the red carpet for the new feature MOANA in theaters November 23rd. I will also be interviewing the one and only Lin-Manuel Miranda, the talented Auli’i Cravalho (voice of “Moana”), and Dwayne The Rock Johnson (voice of “Maui”), Nicole Scherzinger (voice of “Sina”), the Directors Ron Clements & John Musker, Producer Osnat Shurer and Opetaia Foa’i (Music by). So exciting!
About MOANA: For centuries, the greatest sailors in the world masterfully navigated the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, 3,000 years ago, their voyages stopped for a millennium – and no one knows exactly why. From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who is inspired to leave the safety and security of her island on a daring journey to save her people.
Inexplicably drawn to the ocean, Moana (voice of Auliʻi Cravalho) convinces the mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson) to join her mission, and he reluctantly helps her become a wayfinder like her ancestors who sailed before her. Together, they voyage across the open ocean on an action-packed adventure, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills her quest and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.

We will also be viewing the short Inner Workings and speaking with the Director Leo Matsuda and Producer Sean Lurie.
Inner Workings is an upcoming 2016 animated short that was produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. It will debut at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival on June 17, 2016, and will release theatrically alongside the film Moana. Inner Workings utilizes the hand drawn and CG amalgamated “Meander” animation style previously used in the Oscar-winning shorts Paperman and Feast.
While there I will also be covering the release of The BFG on Digital HD, Blu-ray™ and Disney Movies Anywhere Nov 29. We will also get the opportunity to sit down with Lucy Dahl, daughter of Roald Dahl, to discuss THE BFG as well as the legacy of her father which is so exciting!
About The BFG: Disney and Amblin Entertainment, in association with Walden Media, present the fantasy adventure film “The BFG,” the first-ever motion picture adaptation of Roald Dahl’s resonant tale of childhood, the magic of dreams and the extraordinary friendship between a young girl and a big friendly giant. Directed by three-time Academy Award® winner Steven Spielberg, the film reunites the director with his Oscar®-nominated collaborator on “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” Melissa Mathison, who adapted the children’s author’s timeless adventure for the big screen. This magical tale of an extraordinary friendship loaded with exciting extras will brighten the holidays for the whole family!

If that wasn’t enough we will get a behind-the-scenes look at ABC comedies Speechless and Dr. Ken!
Get a glimpse into the world of Speechless, starring Minnie Driver as Maya DiMeo, a mom on a mission who will do anything for her husband, Jimmy, and kids Ray, Dylan, and J.J., her eldest son with cerebral palsy. As Maya fights injustices both real and imagined, the family works to make a new home for themselves, and thankfully found just the right person in Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) to help give J.J. his “voice.”

Ken Jeong stars as the titular character, who continues to be the hilarious general practitioner we all know and love. He has a smart and beautiful wife, two decent kids and a loyal but sometimes irritating support staff in a job where he gets to help people on a daily basis, all the while using his unique sense of humor to get him through the day.

The heartfelt and comedic stories of a big family find Harley devising creative ways to cope with – and stand out – in her family’s busy suburban Massachusetts household.
